Build a program with Claude or ChatGPT, or bring your own. Tell your assistant how the session went and AIm keeps every set. History, records and the load map stay in one place.
Yes, every AIm feature is free. It works with the Claude or ChatGPT you already have: Claude works on its free plan, ChatGPT needs a paid one.
No. Custom connectors work on Claude's free plan too, but it allows only one. If you already have another, remove it or upgrade to a paid plan.
Your data is tied to your account. The app opens from the sign-in link in your email, and an assistant gets access only after you connect it yourself. Backups run automatically every day. Download everything yourself from Tools in the app: an Excel file, or the whole thing as JSON.
Just tell the assistant that the third set was 10 reps and it fixes that exact set, weight or note. You can also fix it by hand with the pencil in the workout record.
Because results start with a well-set goal. The AI coach helps you shape one that fits your experience and schedule, then keeps coming back to it in the weekly review and the monthly check-in.
The AI coach asks what you have and builds the plan around it: dumbbells, bands, a pull-up bar, or nothing but your bodyweight. Cardio and walks get logged too.
The app is built on MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open protocol that lets AI assistants connect to external services. In Claude or ChatGPT you add one address, aim-journal.com/mcp, the same for everyone. An AIm window opens where you sign in with a code from your email if needed and press Allow, so there is no secret to paste. After that, the assistant reads and writes only your own data.
A conversation and a log are different things. AIm keeps every set as its own record, so a connected assistant can read the whole history and work out volume, records and load from it, and you see the same thing in the app. Say it however you like: the assistant turns it into records, and the app shows them as charts next to your plan.
The sign-in link in your email is the login: it opens your journal on any device, so do not forward it. When you connect an assistant, the AIm window may ask for the same email and send a one-time code. If the link ever leaks, reissue it from Settings in the app: the old link stops working and a new one is emailed to you.
Yes, via ChatGPT's Developer mode on the web. It is available on the paid plans: Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education. The free tier does not support custom connectors, so with free ChatGPT the simpler path is Claude: custom connectors work even on its free plan. One account: connect both Claude and ChatGPT and they read the same history.
Yes. Export your history from the old app (Hevy, Strong, a spreadsheet or even plain notes) and hand the file or text to the assistant in the chat. It turns the export into structured records and saves them to AIm, so your charts, records and muscle map continue from where you really are instead of starting from zero.
Five kinds: a milestone such as a target weight in a lift or a target body weight, weekly volume for a muscle you want to grow, a trend where a lift should simply keep climbing, maintenance of a level you have reached, and training frequency. Any of them except a frequency goal can sit on the home screen as a card with live progress; a frequency goal shows in the weekly row instead.
There is no fragile streak here. The flame shows how regularly you have trained over the last 4 weeks, always against your own usual rhythm. Skip a few days and it slowly fades; come back and it burns tall again. One rest day never resets anything.
